This was the burial Treasury ship of an Anglo-Saxon king named Redward. You have more than 1400 years of history, which has been recorded at Woodbridge. Anybody who likes watching the boats plying down the river or picking up the oars himself would enjoy going down the river Deben. One would imagine this sleepy town to have just that one mediaeval marketplace. But the tourist is pleasantly surprised when he sees expensive specialist shops on the Thoroughfare, which can be considered Woodbridge's high Street.
